After spending a fun-filled morning reliving childhood memories at the Chattanooga Pinball Museum, we found ourselves in desperate need of a lunch break. We’d been flipping flippers and chasing high scores for hours — and loving every minute of it. But when hunger hit, we didn’t have to go far.
A Local Favorite Right Across the Street
We asked the staff at the museum where they recommend grabbing lunch nearby, and without hesitation, they all said the same thing: Lupi’s Pizza Pies. As luck would have it, it was literally right across the street. Within minutes, we were seated inside their colorful, funky downtown location.
The vibe was warm and welcoming, with eclectic decor and a laid-back feel that immediately made us feel at home. The staff was just as awesome as everyone said — friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about the food they serve.
We ordered a custom pizza piled high with fresh toppings, and it was everything we hoped it would be. The crust was the perfect blend of crisp and chewy, and the sauce had a rich, flavorful kick. It was so good we didn’t even think to snap a picture before we devoured it. Rookie mistake. Guess we’ll just have to go back again!
A Mural Worth Walking For
As we were wrapping up lunch, our server casually mentioned a mural at the end of the block that was “worth the short walk.” Since we were already in adventure mode, we took the suggestion — and I’m so glad we did.
The walk was quick, and the mural was a hidden gem. It felt like the perfect way to end our downtown detour: first pinball, then pizza, then a splash of public art.
