We Spent the Day at Chattanooga’s Pinball Museum — And You Should Too!

If you find yourself anywhere near downtown Chattanooga, do not miss the chance to visit the Chattanooga Pinball Museum. We stumbled upon it during a recent trip and ended up spending most of the day there — and honestly, I’m still smiling just thinking about it!

Picture this: over 60 pinball machines and vintage arcade games, all set to free play once you walk in. You just pay one flat admission fee ($20 for adults, $16 for kids 10 and under) and you can play as much as you want, all day long. They even let you come and go — so we took a break for dinner and came right back afterward to keep playing. That’s my kind of day!

The vibe inside is just pure fun. It’s dimly lit in the best nostalgic way, and every corner is filled with flashing lights, retro sounds, and the click-click-clack of pinball flippers in action. We saw families with little kids, teens in intense arcade battles, groups of adults reliving their glory days, and even couples out on date night. Everyone was smiling. It really is a space for everyone — whether you’re competitive or just want to try something different.

Some of the games brought back major childhood memories (hello, The Addams Family pinball and Galaga), while others were totally new to us. I didn’t expect to get sucked into a game called Godzilla (Pro), but there I was… 20 minutes later, still going.

They also offer tournaments and host private events — how fun would it be to throw a birthday party or group event there?

Here’s what to know before you go:

  • They’re closed Mondays (for repairs).
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 1 PM – 9 PM
  • Friday: 1 PM – 10 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM – 10 PM
  • Sunday: 11 AM – 9 PM

The staff was super welcoming, and you can grab drinks and snacks inside too. It’s the perfect mix of old-school charm and family-friendly fun.

So if you’re road-tripping through Tennessee, looking for a rainy day activity, or just want something fun to do with your group, trust me — go to the Chattanooga Pinball Museum. You’ll have a blast, whether you’re 6 or 60.
