Très Belle Cakes Mural: A Little Paris in Reading, Ohio
An unexpected Paris-inspired street-art stop filled with Eiffel Tower views, bicycles and whimsical bakery details.
Is the Très Belle Cakes Mural Worth Stopping For?
Yes—if you are already exploring Reading, photographing nearby murals or eating in the area.
The Paris-inspired mural is free to view from outside, takes only about 5–10 minutes to photograph and is easy to combine with the nearby UNO and Love Blooms murals.
Sometimes the most memorable street-art discoveries are the ones you never planned to find.
While driving to Strong’s Brick Oven Pizzeria for a restaurant review, I happened to notice an unexpected Parisian street scene painted on the side of Très Belle Cakes in Reading, Ohio.
The overall design immediately caught my attention, so I made a mental note to return after dinner for a closer look.
My visit was limited to the exterior mural.
When I returned, the bakery was closed. I did not go inside or sample anything from Très Belle Cakes during this visit.
What Does the Très Belle Cakes Mural Look Like?
The mural turns the bakery’s exterior wall into a whimsical Paris-inspired scene filled with travel and baking details.
An Eiffel Tower rises above the scene while a river, bridge, vintage-style bicycle and pastel cupcake balloons bring together the themes of travel and baking.
It is colorful without feeling overwhelming, and the individual details invite you to pause and look more closely.
The imaginative combination of Parisian scenery and bakery-inspired elements makes the mural especially fitting for its location.
Where Is the Très Belle Cakes Mural?
The mural is painted on the exterior of Très Belle Cakes at 8921 Reading Road in Reading, Ohio.
Because it is exterior artwork, I was still able to view and photograph the mural after the bakery had closed.
If visiting during business hours, remember that this is an active business. Stay clear of entrances, parking spaces and customer traffic while taking photographs.
How Long Do You Need at the Très Belle Cakes Mural?
Plan approximately 5–10 minutes to see and photograph the mural.
That gives you enough time to capture the full Parisian scene, move closer for individual details and experiment with a few different compositions.
This works best as a quick photography stop rather than a standalone attraction requiring a large portion of your day.
What Is the Best Way to Photograph the Très Belle Cakes Mural?
Start with one wide photograph showing the complete mural, then move closer to isolate individual details such as the Eiffel Tower, bicycle and cupcake balloons.
I visited during the early evening, and the lighting worked beautifully for photography.
I parked in the lot beside the bakery and spent approximately 5–10 minutes viewing and photographing the mural.
Lighting will vary with weather, season and time of day, but the early-evening conditions worked well during my visit.
Is the Très Belle Cakes Mural a Good Stop for Solo Travelers?
Based on my experience, yes. I visited alone and felt completely safe while photographing the mural and returning to my vehicle.
As with any location, visitors should remain aware of their surroundings, watch for vehicles in the parking area and avoid disrupting the business or its customers.
