If you’ve ever wanted to sip a margarita while soaking up laid-back beach vibes—all without leaving the Smoky Mountains—Margaritaville at The Island in Pigeon Forge is the place to be. During my recent trip, this tropical-inspired restaurant quickly became one of my favorite stops, blending fun, flavor, and a touch of escapism in the best way possible.
A Slice of Paradise in the Smokies

Tucked into the heart of The Island in Pigeon Forge, Margaritaville is impossible to miss. With its towering palm trees, colorful island décor, and festive music playing from the outdoor stage, it practically invites you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment. Whether you’re a Jimmy Buffett fan or just looking for a vibrant atmosphere, it offers a full-on vacation feel.
The restaurant spans two levels, including an outdoor deck overlooking the Little Pigeon River. It’s an ideal spot to unwind with a cold drink and enjoy the energy of The Island without being in the middle of the crowd.
What We Ordered
We started with the Volcano Nachos, and trust me when I say this dish is enormous! Piled high with all the fixings—cheese, chili, guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños—it’s built for sharing and absolutely delicious.
For the main course, I couldn’t resist the Cheeseburger in Paradise (because how can you not?). It was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and served with seasoned fries that hit the spot. I paired it with a Watermelon Margarita, which was refreshing, tangy, and a little too easy to drink.
There’s something about the food here that just makes you smile—nothing too fancy, just good flavors, generous portions, and a whole lot of fun.
Live Music & Laid-Back Vibes

One of the highlights of the experience was the live music on the patio. It added the perfect touch of ambiance without being overwhelming, and the musician was talented and engaging. It really felt like we were on vacation, even though we were just a few hours from home.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and made great recommendations. Service was fast even though the restaurant was busy, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Don’t Forget the Gift Shop!

Before leaving, I stopped into the Margaritaville retail store connected to the restaurant. From fun t-shirts to island-themed gifts, it’s the perfect place to grab a souvenir (or three) to remember your visit.
Final Thoughts
If you’re headed to Pigeon Forge, don’t miss Margaritaville at The Island. Whether you’re there for a full meal, happy hour, or just to kick back with friends and listen to live music, it’s one of those places that leaves you smiling. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience.
🌴 Pro tip: Try to grab a seat on the upper patio around sunset. The view, the breeze, and the music create a moment you won’t forget.
