If you’re headed to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and looking for a one-of-a-kind experience that combines quirky fun with a bit of mountain charm, Hillbilly Golf should absolutely be on your list. Tucked into the side of a mountain right off the Parkway, this mini golf course offers something totally unique—and yes, we loved it so much we played twice in one day!
Our adventure started during the day with a ride up the 300-foot incline tram. The views alone are worth the visit, but once we arrived at the top, we were greeted with two whimsical 18-hole courses filled with all kinds of Appalachian-inspired obstacles—think outhouses, moonshine stills, and vintage farm gear nestled into the mountainside.
We played the first course in the warm daylight, laughing our way through the creative and sometimes challenging holes. It was a blast, and the mountain setting made it feel like so much more than just a mini golf game—it was an experience.
But the real surprise? We came back that night to do the second course… and we’re so glad we did! The whole vibe changed under the soft glow of the course lights. The cooler evening air, the peaceful mountain setting, and the charm of playing mini golf in the dark (with just enough lighting to guide you) made it feel like a completely different adventure.
