When it comes to unforgettable Vegas experiences, there’s flashy—and then there’s flying over the Strip in a helicopter at night. We recently took to the skies with Maverick Helicopters, and let me tell you, it was pure magic.

We booked their Vegas Views tour, a 10–12 minute flight over the Las Vegas Strip in a state-of-the-art EcoStar helicopter. Maverick flies out of a private executive terminal just off Las Vegas Boulevard, and from the moment we checked in, the entire experience felt polished, professional, and a little VIP (okay, a lot VIP!).
The helicopter was roomy, with individual leather seats and big wraparound windows. Even before takeoff, you could tell this wasn’t just a ride—it was going to be an experience. And it delivered.

As we lifted off, the entire Strip stretched out below us in a glittering sea of lights. We timed it perfectly to catch the Bellagio fountains mid-show and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas lit up in full sparkle. But the real “wow” moment? Flying around the top of the STRAT—you feel like you’re in a movie.
Our pilot was awesome: friendly, engaging, and totally in control. He made us feel comfortable, pointed out landmarks along the way, and didn’t rush us when we wanted to grab a few photos before or after the flight.

While we only flew over the Strip, Maverick also offers longer excursions to the Grand Canyon—including some that land inside the canyon for a picnic and photo ops. So if you’re looking to extend your adventure beyond city lights, they’ve got you covered.

If you’ve never seen Las Vegas from the sky, this is your sign to do it. Maverick Helicopters makes the entire experience smooth, safe, and seriously unforgettable.

Have you ever taken a helicopter tour? If not, where would your dream flight take you—over a city, a canyon, or maybe a coastline? Let me know in the comments!
